About Me..

Hello.  My name is Scott Mathews.  I have been trying to blog for a long time.  I make no guarantees with this blog other than to pass some thoughts on to you from time to time.

I am a associate pastor of a church in E. Dallas.  I love being in the ministry.  I am still not the greatest minister in the world, but I am trying to learn the best I can…as fast as I can.  I found a new love…reading.  I wish I would have found that love earlier in life…but hey, better late than never right?

Other than that, you need to know about me is that I am happily married to Kallie.  She is always brings the best out of me.  She never lets me settle.  I know that she supports me and loves me to no end.  I only hope that she feels the love that I return to her!  She is my best friend in the world and the only one that I know who will put up with me no matter what!  I am proud of her accomplishments.  She has become a podcaster.  You can go check out her work here.

Together, Kallie and I have two wonderful kids Lilah and Luke.  They both have red hair…which for some reason…draws a lot of attention!  I dont mind…I am proud of my kids!  They are awesome!  They always seem to bring smiles to the faces of everyone!  I know that they are blessings from the Lord and my goal as a parent is to not screw up!  They are destined to be better than I am.  Lilah loves to pray!  She wants everyone to come to know Christ!  No kidding…she prays for you…and she doesnt even know you!  Luke loves Cars, the movie.  He is all about Lightning McQueen.  Luke loves to tell God to “have a good day” during prayer time!  I cannot wait for Heaven so God can thank Luke for the Good Day requests!

Whatever you read from me, I hope that it sparks discussion in your heart and mind to figure out what Christ may be telling/calling you to.  I believe that everyone in the world needs Jesus in their lives.  I hope that if you dont know who Jesus is that you will stop and ask me.  I would love to share my faith in him with you.  I also hope that together we can become better for the things that we discuss and discover on this journey!

Thank for stopping by.  Let me wish to you “Happy Reading.”  Bring your comments…would love to hear from you!
